This workshop begins by exploring the work of political activist, artist, and Cherokee member Shan Goshorn, whose basketry educated viewers about the history and future of Native people. Participants will make connections to decolonizing their curriculum and learn a 2-2 twill pattern to create their own paper weaving.

In this session we will discuss the value of silence, reflection, focus, and awareness through expressive arts practices that support mindfulness and creative expression.
