Join us as we celebrate this year's Art in Special Education Awardees, who include our Larry Marone Grant recipients; NAEA, CEC, VSA Peter J. Geisser Art Educator of the Year Award; and our NAEA, CEC, VSA Beverly Levett Gerber Lifetime Achievement Award.
This award ceremony will celebrate our Annual Travel Award winner and our new award to a practitioner or group working in the region of the current National Convention. This award ceremony will also include space for an open forum of short shareable stories from the field. We hope for a space to celebrate and share about the subtleties of our practices that emerge from and through paying attention to what is close to us that form out of the specific interactions and traces that form and inform us.
This business meeting will serve as an opportunity for current members of the Canadian Society for Education Through Art (CSEA), an NAEA Allied Group, as well as interested guests, to gather to discuss CSEA organization initiatives currently underway and to develop plans for the coming year. This meeting is open to anyone interested in attending. All are welcome!
The NAEA ED&I Commission will bring current topics of interest for discussion and dialogue with NAEA members. This session will be collaborative and discussion based, and also share some of the recent work and initiatives the Commission has brought forward.
