This presentation will introduce an eco-pedagogical curriculum project that connected students with their local environment, particularly through a field trip to a landfill and a nature walk guided by a contemporary artist. We will discuss the curriculum framework, relevant contemporary artists, and examples of choice-based artmaking from my students.
