This presentation addresses and questions the limited inclusion and trajectory of self-taught and outsider artists and artworks as content within art education's 20th- and 21st-century histories. We highlight notable scholars advocating for inclusion overtime. Also, a documentative literature review recognizes rare, existent examples and calls for greater inclusion of this marginalized yet significant content.
