Not Burned Out, Just Burning the Candle at Both Ends: Challenging Simplified Teacher Retention Narratives

This session invites dialogue moving beyond identified teacher retention and recruitment issues to challenge oversimplified narratives that tax equity, work conditions, mental health, and value for art. We will explore joy and mental wellness as resistance, building networks to navigate unsupportive institutions, and find partners and resources through community collaborations.
