2025 NAEA National Convention

I am an art educator currently serving the patients and families of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. I create art with ages ranging from toddlers to grandparents! I previously taught adults through a community-based arts program, early childhood art at the University of Memphis' Early Learning and Research Center, and middle school and high school aged students with Memphis Shelby County Schools. I transitioned from classroom education to art education in healthcare in 2023 and have loved every moment since!

This year at NAEA, I will be presenting about preservice art education students bringing art making to our local children's hospitals alongside my mentor and former professor at University of Memphis, Dr. Bryna Bobick. Our session is titled Healing Through Learning: Integrating Art Education into Health Care and will be presented Friday evening 5:30PM-6:20PM, please join us if you'd like to learn more about art education in the healthcare environment!
