About me
Margo Wunder began teaching 28 years ago as a volunteer painting instructor at the Inglis House, a wheelchair community in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. She currently teaches Art at Martin Luther School in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, a K-12 approved private school serving the needs of students with severe emotional and behavioral challenges, severe trauma and some receiving residential treatment on campus. Margo is the lead teacher for her professional learning community at MLS, serving as a mentor to countless peers, colleagues and student teachers.
Margo serves on the board of the NAEA as treasurer for the Art in Special Education Interest Group and the board of the Pennsylvania Art Education Association as chair for the Art in Special Education Interest Group. Active in her professional affiliations, Margo has presented across the country, receiving the Pennsylvania Art Education Association Special Needs in Art Education Educator of the Year Award in 2022. Margo is humbled and thrilled to be receiving the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) VSA Peter J Geisser Special Needs Art Educator of the Year Award here at the NAEA convention.
