Theresa is currently teaching her second year at the middle school level in Hinsdale, Illinois after many years teaching art to K-5 students. She is a frequent presenter online and at local, regional, and national conferences. Recent education honors include: 2014 NAEA Art Education Technology Outstanding Teaching award, 2013 Apple Distinguished Educator (only K-12 art educator chosen in US), and 2011 National PBS Teacher Innovator winner. She is National Board Certified and serves Illinois Art Education Association as President Elect.
