About me
I am the art teacher at Columbia Virtual Academy. Throughout my teaching career, I have been named Teacher of the Year for my school, and Top 5 Teacher of the Year for the county for 2010. I have been awarded the WJBF News 6 Golden Apple Award in 2010 and 2018. For the Georgia Art Educators Association, I was awarded the Youth Arts Month Teacher of the Year for 2017. I have presented workshops at the GAEA and NAEA conferences, National Art Honor Society Conference, AP Annual Conference, and the STEM Georgia conference. I love that I am able to represent my school and county in so many educational venues.
