2025 NAEA National Convention

Dr. Billy Heidenfeldt joined Salesian College Preparatory as the French and ESL teacher in 2015. In 2022, responding to the need to empower professional learning, growth and possibility for teaching staff, Billy became the Associate Principal supervising curriculum and instruction while still teaching French. In this capacity, Dr. Heidenfeldt serves as an Instructional Coach and the Curriculum Council lead. Working with the Principal, Billy is involved in curriculum planning, faculty professional development, and review of formative and summative assessments. He also teaches third year and AP French. Beyond Salesian, Dr. Heidenfeldt mentors pre-credentialed teachers in the Contra Costa County Office of Education's Teacher Induction Program.
